Fly-In Leer-Papenburg

A wonderful day in Leer-Papenburg, EDWF, Germany. We met a lot of old and new friends with more than 86 airplanes arrived that day. Great restaurant with German Schnitzel and lovely atmosphere. We were able to camp there as well and used the litte pond in front of the runway 26 for a refreshing swim in the morning.

André Witsen, Enschede (NL) took some great photos from our landing in EDWF with some wind conditions. Michael Frische welcomed us back in EDKB as well. Thanks to all the Planespotters to make this side full of great pictues.

I just found a very early image of our airplane. It wears the first US registration N2931L. The picture was taken at the Flandern airport in Belgium 1968 by A.De Craene

Texel Fly-In 2017

A lot of “first times”:

  • first international flight with a flight plan
  • first international Fly-In
  • first time on a longer flight with my whole family on board over water

It was awesome. We had a perfect time with all the people and planes at the airport, the beach and with our tent neighbors.

We will be back in 2018 http://www.texelflyin.nl/
